MDECU mobile banking allows you to keep moving and still keep in touch with your money. With complete security, you can connect to your MDECU accounts using text messaging.

  • Gives you instant account access with complete security.

What is MDECU Mobile banking?

Enables you to connect to your MDECU accounts from a mobile phone through text messaging.  If you already use Online Banking, it's another way to receive your account balances and review your most recent account activity, without being tied to your desktop.

Which mobile service providers support Mobile Banking?

This service works on all major mobile providers in the U.S., including: AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Nextel, Sprint, T-Mobile, Metro PCS, Cellular One and many more.

Is there a fee for Mobile banking?

Free to all members.  Please note that your mobile carrier may charge you a fee for text messaging.

How many messages will I receive and how many characters can they be?

You receive one message for each query.  Example:  “bal sd” would send you one message with the balance in your share draft.

How do I add or delete a phone number? 

You can call the credit union or make the change online through home banking.

Can I receive text messages to both my phone and email?

Not at this time.  But later, we’ll be adding email notices.  You’ll have to enroll for this service.  This will let you know when a payment is due or if a check has come in NSF.

Can I receive text messages updating me on my loan balance or activity?

YES

How quickly will I receive a text message response?

Messages typically are received within seconds, although delays of several minutes or more may be experienced depending on your wireless carrier.

How do I cancel Mobile banking?

Text a message saying STOP

Is my transaction secure?

Yes. Transactions are fully encrypted and text messages contain no sensitive information. For example, account numbers are never displayed via text and instead are represented by the mobile account cellphone number that you specify during enrollment.

What tasks can be performed with Mobile banking?

With Mobile you are able to:

  • Check your balance
  • Transfer funds (cross customer transfers not available at this time)
  • Check your last 6 transactions in any account.
  • Check the previous 6 transactions when you follow the text prompt.

How do I access my account?

All users must have their cell phone number registered.

How do I check my account status using Mobile?

Each message has its own meaning. i.e. bal = balance, tx = transfer, etc.

How do I make a transfer using Mobile?

Internal transfers (A transfer of funds between one of your accounts to another) are in most cases processed immediately.

How do I check the current rates for deposit, certificate, and IRA accounts using Unlimited Mobile?

We cannot do at this time.

Whom do I contact if I have problems with my account?
